Wishberry’s Panel Discussion on Crowdfunding Queer Creativity at Kashish MIQFF 2016

But that’s not all. We’re also going to be doing a panel discussion on crowdfunding creative projects on alternate sexuality in India! Check out our awesome panelists!

Pallav Patankar

Blog-1 Pallav is the director of HIV Programs at The Humsafar Trust. He’s a known personality in the Indian LGBT community and has rallied for LGBT rights. He successfully crowdfunded Rs. 2.06 lakhs, for a beautiful dance-drama called ‘Hyacinth’ based on the Greek mythology of the same name.

Roopa Rao

Blog-4 Roopa Rao is an independent filmmaker and the force behind India’s first lesbian-themed web series called ‘The Other Love Story’. She successfully raised Rs. 4 lakhs for the same!

Sakshi Juneja

Blog-2 Sakshi is the founder of Gaysi Family, which has crowdfunded with Wishberry twice. First for the third edition of ‘The Gaysi Zine’ and then for the ‘Queer Graphic Anthology’ – India’s first and only graphic anthology covering queer art and creativity.

Harish Iyer

Blog-3 Harrish is the Director of Humane Society International, as well as a popular columnist. In true spirit of community enabled creativity, Harrish has funded five LGBT projects on Wishberry. Harrish firmly believes that grassroot advocacy and a global internet movement are crucial in changing society’s perspectives towards homosexuality.

Priyanka Agarwal
