After a long gap of 13 years, an Indian film will participate at the 52nd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic. Directed by Karma Takapa, Ralang Road has been nominated for the Crystal Globe Award along with 11 other films.

The trailer of this Nepali-Hindi feature film hints at an intriguing ride. Muted lighting, non-actors, music that aids the visuals, and finally, the mise-en-scene of scenic yet haunting Rabong town of Sikkim — they all hint towards a new attempt at storytelling that is at the heart of independent cinema. The film follows four characters as their paths intertwine because of circumstance, chance and a mysterious robbery.

Produced by HumanTrail Pictures, the film has already raked in praise from Hubert Poul, Festival Programmer at Karlovy.
