Babumoshai Bandookbaaz trailer: Small-town India's seedy underbelly becomes Nawaz's playground once again

One can say this with a certain confidence — amongst the current crop of actors known for their acting prowess (the number is quite low), Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a name to reckon with. And with the trailer of his forthcoming film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Nawaz seems to be back to doing what he does best — playing the small-town hero/ anti-hero with a flair for drama!

Slotted to release on September 25, the film looks like a gritty take on the life of a hitman who is also a Romeo at heart. Nawaz's flair for this kind of drama has been witnessed before Gangs of Wasseypur and to a certain dark extent Bypass (watch this short film if you haven't!).

We expect the film to be fast-paced with interludes that will add to the drama of a man rising to the top of the blood-stained foodchain in a world inhabited by people who fight for their survival in their own unique ways!

All the characters look their part and seem to have a firm grasp on a dialect, which is a relief! Now, what remains to be seen is if the actual film can live up to the positive buzz created by the trailer.

Fingers crossed!
