This sneaky little universe keeps playing nasty tricks, but as the overly used famous quote on lemons and lemonade goes – one doesn’t have the luxury to crib about bad situations, you have to twist it to your advantage and make the most of it! Good things come to those who wait, and make the best out of a bad situation. And if there's anyone who've managed to ace this craft, it's our indie musicians.
Here are 3 musicians who played the uncomfortable/inconvenient situation to their advantage.
When it rained right before their performance
Tejas Menon and his band were stalled by the November rains just before performing on stage. Holed up in a car, the boys decided to record an impromptu jam session. The video which was later uploaded to their facebook page went viral within hours and got featured on a few content curating sites like Buzzfeed. It not only drew numerous eyeballs, but they also generated a few sales for their albums just by this mini marketing stunt.
When a few gigs got cancelled at the very last minute
During a recent event because of a few delays a set of band performances got canned. On learning this, the band Scribe decided to invite all those bands to perform one song during their set. This was not only appreciated by the community of musicians but by fans as well.
When travel plans screw up
Maati Baani, Shankar Tucker and Gaurang Desai were travelling from Mumbai to Delhi, when they got to know about the flight being delayed. The musicians immediately decided to jam on the spot and shot the video on their phone. The responses were super positive. And, fans actually have been requesting the band to create a studio version of the song as well.
