A Wishlist is simply a list of gifts, which could be physical products or even services, that you would like your friends and family to give you on any special occasion. Wishlists are also called "gift registries" abroad, because people "register" a list of products either at a physical store (e.g., Macys) or on a website.
Why should I create a Wishlist?
Ask yourself, would you rather get silver coins and random showpieces for your wedding or a new iPod Nano or even a weekend in Goa with your spouse? A Wishlist allows you to informally tell your friends what you really want or need for any big occasion and simultaneously keepthem friends from guessing! Other fringe benefits include no duplicate gifts and friends chipping-in to buy a few big presents and not small individual gifts.
How much does making a Wishlist cost? (All hidden costs please!)
Nothing at all! Zero! Zilch! Nada! Creating a Wishlist for any occasion is absolutely FREE!
Isn't it impolite to create a Wishlist? What's a polite way of sharing it?
Well, honestly, it's all in your mind. Friends ask us all the time what we really want for our birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, so why not share our thoughts and make it convenient for them to buy gifts online! If you are still shy, call your Wishlist an event-page when you invite your friends. Or better still, create a wedding website and add in your Wishlist there!
How far in advance should I create my Wishlist?
Well, it depends on the occasion. We recommend that you create a wedding Wishlist at least a month in advance, where as a birthday Wishlist can be made a week or two before your birthday. Don't worry, your Wishlist will be active as long as you like, even after your event so that friends can give you belated gifts too!
In 3 simple steps, first you select the occasion and add presents to your Wishlist (we have branded products and some cool services in our catalog). Next you use our email and social networking tools to share your Wishlist with friends and family (they receive a link to your Wishlist). Finally, your guests view your Wishlist and buy you gifts your really want online using their credit cards!
How can I share my Wishberry.in Wishlist with friends? And family?
You can use Wishberry.in's email and social networking tools to share a link to your Wishlist with a personal message for your friends and family members (don't worry, you can import your Gmail, Hotmail, etc. contacts without typing them all out!). If you have a wedding website or event page, you can add a link to their Wishlist there as well. For those of you bold enough, we also suggest mentioning your Wishlist on Wishberry.in in your actual invitation cards, this way you reach those friends who don't spend a lot of time online!
What kinds of gifts are available on Wishberry.in?
We offer a wide range of branded products on Wishberry.in, which include both, physical products (e.g., iPod Nano, Guess watch) and innovative services (e.g., weekend at Taj Holiday Village Goa, bridal skin treatment at Kaya). We have selectively tied up with branded retailers across all relevant product categories based on what you suggested in our consumer surveys. For example, we have Sony, Samsung, Morphy Richards, Phillips, etc. for electronics and appliances, Taj, Oberoi, Thomas Cook for holidays and hospitality, and the list goes on. Oh, we also offer a wide range of gift vouchers in case you don't know exactly what you want! (E.g., Good Earth, Mango, Aldo). And if you still can't find what you want, you can even create your own gift on Wishberry.in and allow your friends to chip-in cash.
How many gifts can I add to my Wishlist? How many should I add?
In theory you can add as many gifts you want to your Wishlist. However, we suggest that you narrow down your list to a combination of a few small items and a few big ones as that will encourage your friends to "pool-in" funds and buy you something big and meaningful (e.g., a new LCD TV, a trip to Kerala!)
How does this "create a gift-fund" feature work? Do I get my "created" gift?
So, Wishberry.in allows you to "create a gift-fund" when you can't find what you really want in our catalog or if you simply want to collect funds from your friends for a specific cause (e.g., your first Louis Vuitton, a honeymoon in Paris, etc). You "create" the product by giving it a name, uploading a relevant image, and assigning a target price. Your friends will view this "created" gift as any regular gift and can contribute funds towards it. However, unlike traditional gifts, you will only receive cash (in your bank account) for these gifts and not the actual product itself. You can use the cash you receive to buy your dream product! Note, we do deduct a small fee of 7.5% for such fund transfers to cover our payment gateway costs.
Some of my favourite brands / gifts are not available on Wishberry.in? What should I do?
First and foremost, write to us! You can either email us @ info@wishberry.in or use the feedback module we have in our shopping pages to tell us what we are missing! We will do our best to bring the relevant brand and products on board ASAP. In the meantime, you can "create" the product you want using our unique "create a gift-fund" feature where friends can gift you cash for your dream product.
What if my gifts are too expensive and none of my friends can afford any of them?
No problem, based on their individual budgets, friends can chip-in or pool-in any amount towards products you really want but they can't afford. That's the entire point of creating a Wishlist online, allowing your friends to come together to gift you lasting memories!
What if one of my gifts only receives partial contribution?
In that case, we will remit the partial contribution to your bank account or provide you with a gift voucher of the relevant brand wherever possible (you can choose, sometimes gift vouchers are more attractive as they don't entail the 7.5% fund transfer fee). Also, you can contribute the remaining amount as a gift to yourself and buy the product anyway!
Can I have more than one Wishlist on Wishberry.in?
Absolutely! The best part about Wishberry.in is that you can create a Wishlist for any occasion as we have products for all events: weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, baby showers, etc. So you can create as many as you like and they all can be accessed using the same username (email ID) and password. Furthermore, these Wishlists will stay active and accessible until you decide to close them.
What payment options are available on Wishberry.in?
Don't worry, we have a ton of payment options. Your friends can pay using their credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Diners), debit cards, net banking, and other options such as cash cards and mobile payments. Currently, only domestic credit cards are accepted, international cards will be allowed very soon!

What if I already have a wedding website? How do I include my Wishlist?
Simple, just paste the URL of your Wishlist on Wishberry.in in the "gift registry" section of your wedding website!
Some of my guests aren't online. Can they still buy me something off my Wishlist?
We're working on it. As of right now, payment has to be made online. However, we will be allowing IVR based payments, i.e., using your credit cards/debit cards on the phone for payment very soon.
Does my Wishlist expire? If yes, when?
Nope, your Wishlist will stay active, meaning your friends can access it and buy you gifts, as long as you like. You need to deactivate your Wishlist from the control panel when you are ready. Just in case certain products or services become unavailable over the life of a Wishlist, we will inform you and you can take the product off your Wishlist or simply send you cash for it instead.
Once my gift is bought, how long will it take to reach me?
Well, that depends on what product and which brand. Our retailer-partners will be delivering the relevant products to you so it can range anywhere from 24 hours for certain gift vouchers to a month or more for customized paintings and recliners. Don't worry, we have listed the estimated delivery times for each product in their details pages.
What if my gifts arrive damaged? What if they are lost?
We have insured all our couriers, so if the gifts are lost in transit, they will be replaced! If the product is damaged, please write to us at info@wishberry.in and we will look into the matter for you.
What if my event date has changed? Can I change it on my Wishlist?
Sure, most Wishlist details are editable, just like for an event you create on Facebook!
How do I know that someone has purchased a gift for me from my Wishlist?
Whenever a friend or family members buys you a gift or contributes towards a gift on Wishberry.in, you will receive an email notification with a message from your friend. Also, you can visit the "Manage Wishlist" page in your account and see a summary of who's bought what.
Why are the prices of gift vouchers more than the value of the voucher itself?
We insure all our voucher deliveries through Tata-AIG so that if the vouchers are lost in transit, we can issue you a new one without any problem (even a Rs. 20,000 voucher!). The marginal difference between the price and value of the voucher (approx. Rs. 25 for a Rs. 3,000+ voucher) is to cover the insurance cost as well as delivery charges. Your friends who purchase the vouchers online will bear this cost.

How do I find my friend's Wishlist on Wishberry.in?
The best way is to simply use the link to your friend's Wishlist that you should have received via email or a Facebook message. In case you cant find the link you can also search for your friend's Wishlist on Wishberry.in using the search module on the home page (www.wishberry.in). Simply enter your friend's name or email address to find the right Wishlist.
What should I do if none of the gifts in the Wishlist fit into my budget?
If you cant buy an entire gift, don't worry, you can pitch-in any amount that fits in your budget towards any product at all. In fact, chipping-in towards bigger gifts is better than buying a smaller individual item. Why? Simple, bigger, more important gifts leave lasting impressions!
What if no one else pitches-in to the gift that I have contributed to?
Don't worry, we will either issue a gift voucher of the amount you have contributed (from the relevant brand/store) wherever possible. Otherwise we will remit the amount to your friend's bank account so that he/she can use the money to buy the gift. Also, your friend could even purchase the remaining amount as a gift to herself on Wishberry.in.
How do I pay for my purchases on Wishberry.in? What if I don't have a credit card?

What are the costs associated with buying gifts from Wishberry.in?
All product prices exhibited on Wishberry.in are inclusive of all taxation (sales tax, VAT, octroi etc.) as well as delivery charges (basic courier charges and insurance). These are the only costs you will bear when buying a gift from Wishberry.in. In the case of gift vouchers of any denomination (even Rs. 10,000) a fixed fee of Rs. 25 is added for courier and insurance.
How will my friend know that I have purchased a gift for him?
When you buy a gift or contribute towards a gift for a friend, an email notification goes out to him/her informing them of your purchase. In fact, you can personalize this notification by adding a message to your friend, which will be included in the email.
How do I know if my gift has been delivered to my friends?
You will receive an email notification from Wishberry.in informing you when your gift has been delivered.
What if I want to give the gift to my friend in person?
No problem, you can have the gift delivered to yourself at no extra cost! Just check the "delivery to self" option while making the payment. Note that you can only have products that you have purchased completely (and not contributed towards) delivered to you.
Will my name be displayed on the Wishlist after paying for the gift?
Yes, when a gift is bought or contributed towards, the name of the person is indicated near the gift. This is to simply motivate other friends and family members to chip-in towards the same gift and also to avoid duplication.
